Can we talk about how much I enjoyed putting this look together? One of the reasons why I will always love fashion is the ability it gives me to express myself. Mixing prints, adding texture, and playing around with sizing has been on my fashion forefront lately. I’ve also been on a budget (adulthood + entrepreneurship does that to you) so I’ve found myself indulging in the sale section or catching daily deals that my favorite stores have had. I got this entire look from Zara on their mega sale (girl, you know the sale where basically the entire store is marked down) and I absolutely LOVE how it all came together.
Lately I’ve been loving getting back into the groove with fashion and experimenting more. Towards the end of last year I decided that one, I’m only going to invest in pieces that I can wear for years to come (opposed to purchasing things I never wear but find them on sale for like $10) and two, I’m going to incorporate more statement pieces into my wardrobe. To be honest, this look is perfect to kick off as my first style post of the year because I’m so glad to bring a mixed print outfit to Modernly Michelle. I hadn’t mixed prints in awhile since I kinda got lax with my outfits, but I love how well this fun striped top meshed with this gorgeous floral embroidered skirt. And these boots? Guys these boots are everything! The color is perfect for this season and are a great staple in my wardrobe.
While I’ve been pretty tied up with balancing my walk with God, life, and entrepreneurship; I’ll be sure to bring you all as many outfit posts as I can this year! Hopefully they can inspire you if you’re a busy fashion lover like me that you too can slay while on a budget. Stay tuned!
